Welcome to Metro Hearing + Tinnitus Treatment Clinic
Metro Hearing and Tinnitus Treatment Clinic – established in 1983, is a very unique hearing clinic, where a hard of hearing person should find a complete understanding and based on the individual needs and goals – complete and benefit oriented solution to his/her problems. Most of the patients today need much more then just a hearing instrument, because they are hard of hearing. The Patients we see are usually looking for a real change in their lives. The change that should allow them to act and respond to all real life situations in the similar manner as most other people not having loss of hearing would.
The rapidly increasing part of the hard of hearing population is composed out of the people who have some other problems not necessary related to problems with speech understanding only. In order to help them, deep knowledge and expertise of some other problems not necessarily related to hearing loss is needed. These problems may be and very often are connected to tinnitus or low tolerance to sounds where hyperacusis or misophonia are most typical and recognized elements.
This is why, we at Metro Hearing and Tinnitus Treatment Clinic are prepared to provide a very complex and proven to be effective solution designed to provide relief of tinnitus, hyperacusis or misophonia while addressing problems related to hearing loss if there are any present. We are proud to be one of the very few hearing clinics in Canada to provide our patients with tinnitus, hyperacusis and misophonia treatment in accordance to: The American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery Foundation – First Clinical Guideline on Tinnitus.
We are proud to have on our staff professional members of Tinnitus Retraining Therapy Association as well as American Tinnitus Association. Our tinnitus specialists have completed their education studying in England and the United States. Also, they were personally educated and trained by Professor Pawel J Jastreboff – who is one of the authors of Tinnitus Retraining Therapy, invented in order to provide tinntius suffers with relief in 1999. Also, we are providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy sessions conducted by a licensed and certified therapist. Dealing with hearing loss and speech understanding problems we have the advantage of using a number of therapies and programs including LACE, while utilizing the knowledge and expertise of our staff including hearing instrument specialists as well as a Doctor of Audiology.
This is why we at Metro Hearing and Tinnitus Therapy Clinic are fully convinced that every patient coming to our office should and will receive a complete care program designed to fully remove all problems and difficulties they experience in their lives because of their problems with hearing and/or conditions such us tinnitus, hyperacusis or misophonia.
This is why we are not just selling hearing instruments with better or worse service plans. We provide our patients with a makeover of their abilities and possibilities in life by removing or drastically limiting all obstacles they face by giving them their lives back as they should be!
We are providing tinnitus treatment to those suffering from tinnitus; living abroad, in Canada and in the province of Ontario. Using specialized treatment protocols, and designed for this purpose equipment and instruments, we can limit the number of visits to the very minimum while staying in touch with our patients using email, phone calls and video chat. Having experience in providing treatment to patients that live abroad, we feel confident about the quality and effectiveness of our services.
