Temporary tinnitus is an ear condition characterized by frequent hearing of hissing, roaring, or buzzing sounds from the ears or from the head. One of the most common causes of temporary tinnitus is an underlying medical condition. There are different severe medical conditions such as injury in the neck or head, carotid artery narrowing, tumor, aneurysm, or others that can be manifested through hearing strange sounds in the ears. This is the reason why it is very important that you seek professional help at the onset of tinnitus symptoms.

While the above-mentioned medical cases are rare, tinnitus may also be caused my common medical illnesses. One common medical condition that can cause temporary case of tinnitus is high blood pressure. Ear infection is another example. Having hard, impacted earwax buildup can also cause this condition. If you start hearing sounds and noises that other people around you could not hear, then visit your doctor right away. Knowing what’s causing your tinnitus does not only cure or alleviate your tinnitus; it also stops or treats the medical condition behind it.

Aging is also one of the common causes of tinnitus. This is a normal result of what the body has to go through during the aging process. Older people often experience this as this is common symptoms of aging. Unfortunately, this may result to losing one’s sense of hearing – a common condition many old people have.

Prolonged exposure to extremely loud noises can also cause temporary tinnitus. The noise may come from machinery, gun fire, loud music, bomb explosion, fireworks, or others. Exposing yourself frequently to these loud sounds and noises predisposes you to suffering from permanent tinnitus. If you can’t avoid this for some reasons such as work responsibilities, then be responsible enough to protect your ears by wearing ear protection devices like earplugs.

You may also be suffering from temporary tinnitus because you regularly consume drugs, pills, or medicines. Are you aware that there are many medicines, over 200 in number, that are considered to cause tinnitus? What may surprise you further is that these medicines include those you take commonly such as aspirin and antibiotics and a lot more over-the-counter and prescription drugs.

Your health also plays an important role in keeping you free or away from temporary tinnitus. It is imperative to have good health and practice a healthy and clean lifestyle. You can make this possible by eating only healthy foods, staying away from stress, and getting enough amount or sleep and rest. You might think that it’s hard to be stress-free with tinnitus. That’s true but it’s on your part to keep yourself stress-free by finding ways to deal with your condition without stressing yourself out. Stay healthy, know the cause of your tinnitus, and the rest can be done easily.
